The Sepia Project

The snow white cuttlefish bone, which you might find between sea shells walking along the Mediterranean shores, has an extraordinary surface texture. It is made of magnificent and inimitable lines, resembling the patterns created by wind and underwater currents on sand. They are a basic source of inspiration in the artistic work of German jewelry designer Werner Altinger. He attentively explores those gentle waves, which get immortalized in silver and gold to be finally inserted in precious architectural structures. The composition of organic and geometric elements is the secret of Werner Altinger’s  design, creating distinctive jewelry rich in harmonizing contrasts.
